Healthcare Data Modernization & Quality Reporting

Systone is helping modernize CMS’s End-Stage Renal Disease quality reporting systems by enhancing scalability, automation, and data processing capabilities in the cloud. By streamlining infrastructure and optimizing workflows, we support accurate and timely scoring for dialysis facilities—enabling improved regulatory oversight, data-driven decision-making, and better outcomes for patients, all while ensuring compliance with federal security and reporting standards.

Enterprise System Modernization for Administration For Children and Families (ACF)

Systone is a key partner in advancing the modernization of the federal platform that manages program data, grants, and compliance tracking for HHS. We are enhancing system scalability, security, and user experience by migrating legacy applications to a cloud-based architecture and integrating data-driven insights and automation. Our approach ensures seamless access to grant management tools, real-time data visibility, and streamlined reporting, empowering programs to deliver high-quality services with greater efficiency and impact.

Modernization of multiple digital assets at Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS)

The CMS Web and Emerging Technologies Group (WETG) helps millions of people every year find and enroll in health care programs. WETG websites and tools are integral in supporting Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS') vision of creating a truly consumer-focused experience while empowering beneficiaries and their caregivers with the tools they need to make informed decisions about their care. We supported the team with migrating, replatforming, and redesigning a portfolio of digital assets, including high-profile websites Medicare.gov and CMS.gov as well as multiple subdomains, digital calculators, finders and look-up tools.

Modernization and Migration of multiple applications at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)

We helped Provide Cloud Migration for over 900 Centers for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC) applications and services; Leading product and process design efforts across GSA Digital Modernization Initiative (DMI) -related projects, translating complex business and operational processes into clear, concise visualizations. Design artifacts include an operational model for an Alexa-based health communications app and a visual representation of the on-premise to cloud migration for the Enterprise Data Analytics and Visualization platform.

Appellant Portal to foster transparency and end to end accessibility to appeals status

The Appellant Portal Project aims to streamline the process for appellants by providing an intuitive, user-friendly platform to manage and track appeals. This project involves developing a secure, scalable portal that integrates with existing case management systems to ensure smooth data flow and improved accessibility. The portal will allow users to submit, update, and monitor their appeals while receiving real-time updates on case status. Our team was responsible for the technical development of the platform and ensuring its usability through a user-centered design approach, focusing on improving efficiency and transparency for appellants and administrators alike.

Improving Healthcare data systems interoperability

We supported the enhancement of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Beneficiary Claims Data API (BCDA) by improving data sharing, interoperability, scalability, and user experience. The project focuses on making beneficiary data more accessible for Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) through seamless and secure processes. Also, integrating FHIR standards for data consistency and security, thus ensuring technical scalability.
