The Role

We're currently seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to enhance our software development lifecycle. In this role, you'll utilize your technical expertise to design and implement various CICD patterns while adhering to industry standards and policies. You'll actively participate in design and code reviews, providing guidance to ensure project scoping activities align with architectural goals and specifications. Collaboration with partners in other business divisions will be frequent, especially during the introduction of new applications or changes to existing ones, to devise effective build solutions.

Additionally, you'll be responsible for documenting DevSecOps processes and ensuring the continuous maintenance and updating of DevSecOps platforms. As a key member of the enterprise's engineering and maintenance team, you'll have a significant impact on the DevSecOps team's success.

Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science or Related Field

· 8+ years of Application Development

· Strong core Linux networking, shell scripting, and administration skills

· Proficiency in building an enterprise data warehouse, data mart or data lake

· Writing high-quality code efficiently

· Self-motivation and strong communication skills for inter-team collaboration

· Passion for learning new technologies and doing so quickly

· Knowledge and experience with at least 5 of the following

Automation using infrastructure-as-code (IAC) with AWS CDK, Terraform, and/or CloudFormation Container technology such as Docker and Kubernetes Bias towards build & pipeline automation, proactive monitoring and shifting testing & security left with tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Packer, CloudBees Jenkins, Nexus, Splunk, SonarQube, NewRelic, Nessus, Cloud infrastructure security & IAM privilege management AWS infrastructure components such as EC2, ECS, ECR, EKS, Lambda, RDS, Redshift, EMR, KMS, CloudFormation, Route53, Scaling Groups, etc. Security aspects of cloud infrastructure, vulnerability scanning and remediation, threat modeling & detection, static and dynamic testing, security documentation Automated unit testing, end to end testing, smoke tests striving for 100% automated test coverage Application logging, monitoring and alerting Building APIs using a microservices architecture

Who you are:

  • Comfortable working remotely

  • Comfortable collaborating within a Scrum Team

  • Capable of both deciding next actions, and knowing when the decision requires sign off from management

  • Comfortable in a dynamic (i.e., startup) work environment

  • A good communicator with the ability to express and share ideas to business leaders with a non-technical background

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a group, actively network with others and provide varying feedback to the team at the appropriate time to ensure that decisions stick.

  • Ability to identify and communicate constraints and can work within them.
